“fucking elitists you pathetic losers have no fucking life fuck you”
I get a ton of these in the in-game chat before the author gets booted, so I thought I’m gonna put a list of why this happens.
- First off, yes, I have no life and I’m an elitist and am unapologetic about it, fuck off. I play this game to get a win on a borderline impossible difficulty where every little thing matters. If 1 little thing is unaccounted for, it leads to team wipes. You are here to just chill? Get the fuck out and go play on hard.
- You didn’t read the server name and banner message, did you? Get booted.
- You joined as a 2nd commando. Is it so hard to check the existing roster and see what the team needs while in the lobby? The team never needs a 2nd commando as there’s no good way to maintain zed time extensions with 2 commandos.
- You use garbage weapons to the detriment of the team. Examples include, but not limited to: winterbites, spitfires, blunderbuss, rhinos, M79 (especially with “Concussive rounds”), gravity imploder, seal squeel, beluga beat, minigun, tommy boom, etc. All these have either low DPS, they knock down zeds, obscure vision, shake screen, stumble zeds unexpectedly, cause them to fire panic to the detriment of the team. Want to play with these? Go play on easier difficulty.
- You steal ZT extensions by killing trash on mando’s lane. This is bad both during ZT as you straight up stealing extensions or outside of it when commando saves trash so he has enough when it hits. Extensions make life and death difference on higher difficulties and proficient commando is the most important perk on a team. If you interfere with the extensions process for WHATEVER reason, even once — you get booted. Occasional mistakes are understandable, just say sorry if you have time for that and move on.
- You are running detrimental skills, such as “Destroyer of Worlds” as a demo, “Concussion/Impact rounds”, right side medic, running the “Fortitude” on support, etc. All these are detrimental to the team through causing unexpected stumbles, obscuring the vision, causing all sorts of panic on big zeds, not doing enough DPS, etc.
- You are joining as a non-complementary perk. E.g. the existing team is mostly precision — you aren’t going to contribute anything by joining as a demo. And vice versa, say, there’s already a demo and you want to work on big zeds — it would be prudent to choose another demo.
- Not playing your perk role. You play a “combat medic” setup and don’t heal/buff the team, instead resorting to shooting zeds/tanking hits. GTFO. Or you play sharp/gunslinger, but refuse to take on big zeds or pick rioters. Or you play demo and don’t use RPG-7 and C4 with all left (except DoW) skills, instead working on trash. Nobody needs a demo helping with trash, ok? Your job is to kill scrakes and FPs quickly, so upgrade your RPG so you can 1-shot scrakes and run C4 so you can stack the 3-4 FP packs without raging them all at once. Another example is picking commando and not doing the extensions. Another example is picking an anti-trash perk and not looking after demo’s or sharpshooter’s asses in order to defend them from trash. Another example is picking a zerk and running in front of a team, instead of retreating last and walling the hits from FPs.
- Should go without saying, but also the basics: welding the doors on teammates, bodyblocking their shots by extending too far forward and wiggling your ass left-right in front of them, not taking an FP hit when you are full health while your mate is below 50 HP, not using your syringe on your teammate, not buying the medic weapon to heal mates when you have a free weight slot, raging big zeds and not being able to kill etc.
All that said, it’s nothing personal. I don’t care about your persona or how good/bad you are outside of the game. I’ve been hosting these servers for a few years and haven’t issued even a single permaban, even for the worst abusers. If you practice more and eventually get good — you are welcome back always.
If you engage in behaviors described above and insist on doing it, it’s a ban. Obviously, it’s also a ban if you are a cheater. Note, that relying on the in-game exploits to get advantage is considered cheating, e.g. running FPS >120 to gain higher rate of fire or reduced recoil is cheating.
